But remember, you’ll also need space for your ceremony and a dance floor, if you’re having one. That means that if your back yard is 40’ x 30’ you can fit a maximum of 100 people. Typically a banquet hall using 6 foot tables will fit 100 guests into 1,200 square feet. If you’re able to have more, you can figure out your maximum number by the size of your yard.
